River Island's £39 bag 'perfect' for work that is a 'dupe' of Michael Kors £390 version

The bag is much cheaper than its designer counterpart and has plenty of room for a laptop

High-street brands are renowned for offering quality clothes at affordable prices. The likes of River Island also design great 'dupes' for designer products so Londoners can get catwalk looks for a fraction of the cost.

Their latest high-street shop to share their take on a handbag which is much cheaper than its designer counterpart. River Island's Black Jacquard Monogram Shopper Bag costs just £39.

Whereas, a very similar designer bag, Michael Kors' Jet Set Large Logo Chain Tote Bag was originally a whopping £390. It is now £105 in the summer sale.

River Island's Bag is L30cm x W41cm x D14cm in dimensions, meaning it's big enough for a laptop - ideal for taking to the office. The Jacquard fabric and gold accents make it look expensive too.

There is a zip front pocket and a River Island monogram print. The bag itself has two grab-top handles and is big enough to sling over your shoulder or be handheld.

There is also a popper fastening for extra security and it comes in two colours, black and brown. Meanwhile, Michael Kors' offering is in black and a dark powder blush.

The Michael Kors Bag is a much more pricey £390, making it ten times more expensive than the River Island version. The MK bag is, however, on offer currently for £105.

Subtly differences between the bags include a missing front zipper on the River Island version. The Michael Kors designer bag is also slightly more curved.
